What this solves
Most travel guides mention "ride the cable car to Grindelwald First" and stop. The real fun in Switzerland's mountain areas is the combo: ride up from Grindelwald, hike to Schynige Platte via the famous Panorama Trail, ride down to Wilderswil. That's a full day at ~80% of one-lift cost.
How to read
- Single lift round-trip: ride up + ride down, same lift. Boring, expensive.
- Linear lift combo: ride up Lift A, hike, ride down Lift B. Half the lift cost, full day.
- Combo passes: many regions sell "Best of X" tickets covering 3-4 lifts.
Limitations
- Linear hikes assume you can walk at least T2 standard; below that you need a guide.
